Honda
Civic.
Honda's compact-sedan benchmark, in its 11th generation. Locally assembled in Pegoh, sharp-driving, and the segment's enduring all-rounder.
▌ Overview
The Honda Civic has been on Malaysian roads since the 1970s, but the modern story starts with the FD generation that defined the C-segment in the 2000s. Honda Malaysia has assembled it locally at Pegoh, Melaka since 2006, and the badge has been the benchmark that every rival is measured against.
Today's FE generation (since 2022) is the 11th iteration. A 1.5-litre VTEC turbo returns segment-best efficiency and 0–100 in the low 8 seconds. The interior steps up two segments in materials and Honda Sensing — adaptive cruise, lane keep, AEB, blind-spot — comes standard. The chassis still punches above its price, and resale plus parts availability remain class-leading.
Two trims are sold in Malaysia: E and RS, both sharing the same 182 hp powertrain. The RS adds 18-inch wheels, a black sport grille, leather, and red ambient lighting. Pricing slots between the Toyota Corolla Altis and the more expensive Mazda 3.
